If it's ok for the USA not sure how the USA (or USAians) can complain about anyone else.  We know for a fact that the USA will use them, we do not know that about Korea - which makes them the safer bet.

Maybe the world WON'T make it to 2012.  Oh well it's been a good run.

They've only got enough plutonium for a dozen or so 12 kiloton bombs... and no miniaturization skills to be able to deliver them by missile. I'd imagine it is just loud barking at South Korea in the ever long conflict that "ended in a truce" in 1953. It could take them another 10 years to develop the miniaturization technology... until then the only option is to drive them by truck.

Compared this firepower to that of the major players and it looks like firecrackers in the hands of children. They could still ruin the day for a few hundred thousand people and that would be tragic, but they most likely will just bark and growl.

Tiger well I think we will make it but it will be hard. Wiz has a valid point IF the news reports are accurate that they cannot put it on a missile. I don't trust news reports however. That government is a communist tyranny, extremely secretive about what they do. Plus you never know who they may get help from.

Oh & Well
I would rather my human body die, than to live in a world consumed by a world war.  Heck I really don't want to live in a world with war.  So wondering today, as I do on many a day, why the hell I agreed to come to the place where people fear and hate and kill each otherl.
Sorry, but that has been my thoughts, my question to self - the main question I have asked self, since grade school.
Guess I keep trying to figure that out, otherwise I wouldn't still be here.

They may well back the North Koreans, but China is very unhappy about this.  Russia will (probably) care less.

China Urges 'Coolheaded' Response to North Korea

By Stephanie Ho

Beijing

26 May 2009

China says it is firmly opposed to North Korea's nuclear test, but is repeating its call on the international community to remain calm in formulating a response. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said China firmly opposes the North Korean nuclear test on Monday.  He says Beijing has two main objectives - a nuclear-free Korean peninsula, as well as safeguarding peace and stability in Northeast Asia. Ma says China calls on what he described as "relevant parties" to respond in a "coolheaded and appropriate way."  He says the Chinese government would like to see all sides resolve the issue peacefully, through consultation and dialogue. He repeated his government's earlier calls for North Korea to return to its commitment of denuclearization. And said China has directly expressed its position to North Korea.  He also urged Pyongyang to return to the six party talks, which include the United States, North Korea, China, South Korea, Japan and Russia.  The six party process began in 2003,  but has been stalled since the end of last year. The Chinese spokesman did not directly say whether his country will support any United Nations Security Council resolution against North Korea that includes sanctions.  He said only that China hopes any UN Security Council action will help denuclearization efforts and will help maintain stability. China is North Korea's closest ally in the world.  In the past, observers described the relationship "as close as lips and teeth." Although China is North Korea's main international benefactor, Ma rejected suggestions that Beijing has any special influence over Pyongyang. The spokesman says the word "influence" does not exist in China's diplomacy.  He says his country's foreign affairs policy is conducted on what Beijing terms the five principles of peaceful co-existence. These principles emphasize sovereign equality, respecting diverse civilizations, promoting mutually-beneficial economic cooperation, maintaining peace through dialogue and placing importance on the United Nations.

I tend to agree with that statement simply because relations have not been all that great between the two.
