...this is a reminder.  To all of you.  Most of us came from the original MSN Nature.  For those who have forgotten or those who are new here, let me set something straight.  We like things as civil as possible.  That means that we do not like 'smart' people and, certainly, we don't like rude people.  So, listen up...if you cannot control your temper and the words you type, if you lack respect for other people and like to brag about it, if you think you are too smart for the rest of us...then, for sure, Nature isn't the right place for you.  And listen carefully.  This is non negotiable.  So, once more...we don't like abuse, we don't encourage it and we do not condon it.
So, it will be up to you.  Remember.  'Nice' is the key word.  And self restraint something  we will greatly appreciate here.
Now...did I make myself clear?

Hi Biggles:

You said..."Do I detect a whiff of atheist puritanism in the air?"  Please, don't.  I see nothing wrong with the pictures.  You maybe aren't aware, but there was an issue regarding 'minors' a few weeks ago.  You see, when it comes to children I just want to be extremely careful.  Because it is so esy for an adult to abuse them!  That is the only  precaution I always take.  To be careful about something that can hurt them (in any possible sense).  I can't think of any human being more defenseless than kids.  Remember what Jesuist priests used to say?  About being able to get whatever they wanted from a child under 8?  I think that was the age.  I will see if later on I can find the exact quote.

Anyway, no puritanism here.

I am sorry, but I don't know the word that can be confused with a typo.  However, and just for the record, as Anthropal said we don't encourage games with our member's nicks.

Evil?  I don't know what you 'message' means.  Furthremore, I am not sure I want to know what it was about.  But, please, keep in mind that there is an amazing tool called 'private E-mail' that you can use anytime to tell anyone what you want.  In a private way.  Please, let's not use the board to send hints only the people involved can get.

Welcome to Nature.  Thank you for having joined us.  Is this your first time here?  Just curious...never mind.  Listen, I barely post these days.  But, if you go back several months, you will see this habit of mine.  I, generally, don't get engaged in discussions and post some material I find interesting just for the others to discuss.  You see, I myself prefer to keep some distance from the threads.  I admire the way Anthropal participates and keeps his temper when the discussion gets wild.  As I am not sure I am able to react the same way, you will only see me participating actively very few times.  Anyway, I am an atheist (everyone knows -or should know it- here) and I wish this place to be a placid place where people who think different can live together peacefully.  As I said, it is a wish.
 
My personal opinion?  I don't like rude manners, rude people, rude words.  I like it as civil as it gets.  So, harsh people (atheists or believers) are not my favorite people.  If you needed some orientation about my thoughts, I hope that will suffice.
